The Colonel Daniel Marr Boys and Girls Club is a safe haven for over 4,300 Dorchester children, where their curiosities and talents are explored and nurtured. By paying annual dues of only $5, members are entitled to a wide range of programs and services, including sports, recreation, educational support, leadership training, job placement, arts and cultural appreciation and individual counseling. Most importantly the Club offers kids a positive environment with caring adults, and an alternative to life on the street.

We are looking for enthusiastic runners of all levels, with a passion for the sport and for helping children to join our 2007 Boston Marathon Marr Club Team. Team members will have access to an extensive marathon training program, including monthly meetings that offer tips and insight on fundraising, training, nutrition, clothing and race preparation. 100% of funds raised will go directly into making a difference in the lives of children.
